A meme and sometimes video of former Meretz MK apparently claiming that Israeli politicians use antisemitism as a way to ‘trick people’ is very popular among some left-wing groups in the UK. Look, they say, the Israeli government themselves are admitting to using antisemitism to stop criticism of Israel. In reality, this is another twisting of someone’s words and meaning.

Unfortunately, Israeli politics is a cesspit and it’s fairly common of politicians of all stripes to call each other anti-Semites or even Nazis.
